Who is JJ Conway?
JJ Conway was initially barred from declaring physics as her major because the Air Force Academy faculty believed, “Blacks can’t do physics.” She fought for her dream and became the first African American to serve as a physicist in the military. She served for 23 years, chairing some of our nation’s highest technical committees and retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Although science will always be her first love, JJ became a financial planner after returning from a 6-month military trip to discover her house sold, divorce papers, and over $845,000 debt that had been charged in her name during her absence. Adapting to life as a military single mom, JJ learned how money worked and how to make it work for her quickly, yet ethically. She now teaches others the same fast-track skills to dump debt, build wealth, and prosper. She also mirrors these principles when working with businesses to improve processes, people, and profit.
