Over 20 years ago, I had a friend, whose coworker gave her $100 to apply to live in a safer area of town.  That night at church the pastor convinced her to give the PASTOR that money. I was angry at the pastor AND angry at my friend: He GAVE you the money for an apartment! How are you going to explain to him that you gave his money to the PASTOR?

And that’s what a LOT of us are doing. God has given us the money, time, resources, and people to do what we need to. And we squander it. We give our time to facebook or pintrest or our money to people who just take, take, take.  Then we’re in prayer, “Lord help me” and He’s like… um… I did… but you didn’t use what I gave you for the good I intended it…”
